IBN heating center Horb Weststadt

In November, the Horb Weststadt heating center was successfully commissioned. A wood combustor is used to generate a synthesis gas from wood pellets. This is then burned in a combined heat and power unit to generate electricity and heat. A peak load boiler with an output of 2 MW and two large heat storage tanks compensate for load fluctuations in order to supply the Weststadt with heat.
